Live Location History for Field Teams

Location history is not part of Stintt today. Stintt has no mobile agent and collects no GPS data. This page explains what would be involved and what the product does instead.

Field-service tools record where a worker was, on a map, minute by minute. Stintt does not do this, and nothing in the product collects it: the only ingestion paths are read-only calendar OAuth and messages a person sends on purpose. Building location history would mean shipping a mobile app that reports position in the background — a different product with a different consent model — so we would rather say it is absent than list it and let you find out after signing up.

Stintt does not do this today. If you need location-verified field work today, Stintt is the wrong tool and we will say so on a sales call rather than sell you a plan you will churn out of.

The honest version

What is and is not collected

  • Not collected today: GPS coordinates, location history, or a movement trail
  • Not collected today: screenshots, screen recordings, or app-and-URL activity logs
  • What does exist: time logged from a calendar, from chat, and from manual entry
  • What does exist: an approval trail showing who logged what and who approved it
Questions

The things people ask before signing up

It is not on a committed roadmap. It needs a mobile app with background location permission, an explicit worker-consent flow and a retention policy — none of which exist today. Treat this page as an honest "no", not a pre-announcement.

No. Stintt records what time was spent on, not where a person was. There is no IP-geolocation of workers, no geofence, and no map view.

With a reviewable record rather than surveillance: entries carry their source, managers approve or return them with a note, and discarded time stays visible instead of being deleted.
